Unmanic Monday: Deep Roots, Lasting Healing

In just a few short weeks, from September 26th to 29th, I’ll gather with others for the Subtle Science Consortium in Sedona!

This event is dedicated to bridging modern medicine with ancient wisdom, aiming to get to the root of our issues.

In my journey through health and wellness, I discovered that modern medicine alone often misses the deeper causes of our ailments. This realization fueled my mission to address root issues—both literally and metaphorically.

Today, I invite you to journey into the foundational aspect of our well-being: the Root Chakra.

This Chakra is our base, anchoring us to the physical world and providing the stability needed to thrive. It influences crucial areas of our lives:

  • Physical Health: A balanced Root Chakra supports a strong immune system and overall vitality.

  • Career and Financial Security: It affects our ability to manifest career success and manage resources effectively.

  • Housing and Safety: It fosters a sense of stability and security in our living environment.

  • Sexual and Creative Energy: It supports healthy sexual expression and creative potential.

  • Self-Identity: A well-aligned Root Chakra helps us feel grounded and secure in our sense of self, enhancing confidence and personal identity.

  • Base of Our Intuition: It provides the foundational stability needed for intuitive insights and inner guidance to flow freely.

  • Adrenal Health: The Root Chakra influences the adrenal glands, crucial for managing stress and maintaining energy levels.

  • Ability to Eliminate: It supports the efficient elimination of physical and emotional waste, contributing to overall health and balance.

  • Trust and Security: It fosters a deep sense of trust in oneself and the world, which is essential for feeling safe and secure in all areas of life.

When our Root Chakras are out of balance, it can lead to various issues, from chronic health problems to financial insecurity, emotional instability, and beyond. 

It’s the basis of many misalignments, from money issues to relationship challenges.

Want to tune into yours? Here is a short exercise to tune into your Root Chakra today:

  1. Sit or lie down in a quiet space where you feel relaxed and safe. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, allowing your body to settle.

  2. Visualize a red, glowing light at the base of your spine. This is the location of your Root Chakra. Imagine this light growing brighter and more vibrant with each breath you take.

  3. Scan this area and note anything that may look, feel, sound, or maybe even taste different. Send light (any color that comes to you is fine) to this area.

  4. Visualize roots extending from the base of your spine deep into the earth, anchoring you firmly to the ground. Feel the support and stability of the earth beneath you.

  5. Repeat the following affirmation silently or out loud: "I am grounded, secure, and supported. I trust in the stability of my life and my ability to manifest abundance."

  6. Notice any physical or emotional sensations that arise. Allow yourself to experience these feelings without judgment, and gently guide your focus back to the red light and your grounding roots.
