Unmanic Monday: The Witch Wound

There is a deep-seated wound that stems from centuries of persecution and suppression of individuals, particularly women, who practiced earth-based spirituality and healing arts.

This wound lingers, veiled in shadows and whispered secrets. This ancient scar affects not only those with ancestral ties to witch trials but also individuals carrying the residual energy of persecution from past lives.

It manifests as a fear of expressing spiritual gifts, leading to feelings of shame and unworthiness.

I am seeing it in client sessions, it is coming up in discussions with friends and colleagues, and here I sit navigating the energies myself.

This is referred to as the Witch Wound, and I invite you to UnManic your Monday with me today, by leaning into this.

Healing the Witch Wound requires a multi-faceted approach that involves acknowledging, exploring, and ultimately releasing the wounds and limiting beliefs associated with them.

First, it is key to know if it might be something significant to you. It is likely if you can relate to any of the following:

Feeling hesitant to express or share your spiritual gifts, intuition, or authentic self due to a deep-seated fear of judgment.

  • Carrying feelings of shame or guilt surrounding your spiritual beliefs, practices, or experiences.

  • Constantly questioning your abilities, worthiness, or validity, leading to feelings of inadequacy or unworthiness.

  • Ignoring intuitive insights, messages, or guidance out of fear or skepticism.

  • Struggling to establish healthy boundaries in relationships or situations, often stemming from a fear of facing conflict.

  • Feeling resistant or hesitant to engage in healing or transformative practices that may bring up unresolved trauma.

  • Feeling disconnected from nature, the divine, or spiritual practices, leading to a sense of disconnection.

  • Experiencing recurring patterns of victimhood or disempowerment, often stemming from unresolved trauma or past-life memories of persecution.

If you feel like you can relate to the above, I invite you to join me in the following steps to address the Witch Wound, if it feels good to you:

  1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: Take some time to acknowledge and honor any feelings of fear, shame, or unworthiness that may arise when exploring the Witch Wound. Remember that these feelings are valid and deserving of compassion, and often times awareness is the first step to healing.

  2. Explore Past Lives: Dive deep into past life regression or exploration to uncover any past-life experiences related to persecution or suppression of spiritual gifts. Pay attention to any recurring themes or patterns that emerge and how they may be impacting your present life. It’s important you don’t stay there or get caught in the story. Simply uncover, acknowledge, show gratitude, and release.

  3. Release Limiting Beliefs: Identify and challenge any limiting beliefs or fears holding you back from fully embracing your gifts and intuition. Practice present time affirmations, journaling, or energy healing techniques to release those beliefs and replace them with empowering ones.

  4. Connect with Ancestral Healing: Explore ancestral healing practices and ancestor veneration, to address the generational trauma associated with the Witch Wound. Connect your ancestors through meditation, ritual, or ancestral altars, and ask for their guidance and support in healing these wounds.

Want to take this even deeper?! Embrace your inner witch wound! To support you on your journey of healing the Witch Wound, I invite you to participate in the following exercise:

Find a quiet and sacred space where you can sit comfortably. Close your eyes and take several deep breaths, allowing yourself to relax and center your awareness.

  1. Visualize yourself surrounded by a field of bright white (whatever color) light, surrounding you, shielding you from any external energies.

  2. Repeat the following affirmation: "I embrace and honor my inner healer. I am worthy of expressing my spiritual gifts and intuition with confidence and authenticity.”

  3. Take a few moments to sit with this affirmation, allowing it to resonate deeply within you. See it moving from your heart to every cell of your being.

  4. When you feel ready, gently open your eyes and carry this affirmation with you throughout your day.

Remember, healing the Witch Wound is a powerful and transformative journey that requires patience, compassion, and courage. AND it starts with awareness.

As we embrace and heal our own wounds, we contribute to the collective healing of the Witch Wound and pave the way for a more empowered and liberated future.
