As we approach the holiday season, it’s easy to get swept up in the rush of preparations - gifts to wrap, gatherings to plan, and endless to-do lists. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or another tradition, this time of year can feel like a whirlwind of activity.
This week, I invite you to consider something different: sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is nothing at all.
In the midst of all the doing, here is great power in simply allowing the energy to move. The truth is, there are moments when the best thing we can do is pause, take a breath, and be.
By letting the energy flow without forcing it, we create space for clarity, peace, and connection. When we stop and listen, we become present enough to feel what is truly needed, rather than getting caught in the rush of our thinking minds.
This week, I encourage you to check in with yourself and ground down. Ask yourself…
Is this a moment to pause and allow the energy to guide me?
We are co-creators with the universe, and deeply supported by the divine flow. Becoming aware and alignng with that rhythm invites everything we need to unfold with ease.
Take a few moments to ground into the present. This practice is about fully receiving and being with your breath, fully reconnecting with the moment.
Stand tall, feed grounded on the earth. Gently close your eyes, or keep them open if you prefer, and take a slow, deep breath in.
As you inhale, feel the air filling your body with golden light. As you exhale, feel any tension or stress melt away. With every breath, feel yourself becoming more anchored in the present moment.
Now, imagine that you are completely still. Focus on the feeling of the ground beneath you and the energy in your body. Let go of any thoughts, and simply be. Notice the stillness.
If you feel urged to take action, pause for a moment. Ask yourself, “Is this action necessary right now?” If you feel the answer is yes, proceed with confidence and trust - with small steps. If not, allow yourself the grace to remain still and present. Sometimes, taking a moment to check in with our deeper guidance can prevent unnecessary or hurried action.
This holiday season, let’s honor stillness. We can trust that we are guided by love, faith, and the divine rhythm of the universe. Remember, it’s not about the destination but the journey itself, the awareness we cultivate along the way, and the grace with which we move through each moment.
Wishing you peace,
Alara
